SAR in Iceland

For the past two years, we have hosted travellers, all of whom have been extremely happy with the experience. The visit lasts about one hour and includes an introduction to the work of Slysavarnafélag Íslands, our local rescue teams, and our youth division. Visitors gain insight into all of our work as volunteers, hear stories from real callouts and training exercises, and even enjoy a few light-hearted jokes along the way. After the presentation, there is plenty of time to stroll around, explore our vehicles and equipment, ask questions, and take photos.

Now we want to do it online to give more people oppurtunity to get the insights from a local volunteered based Search and Rescue team. Join us at this first online introduction and get an amazing insight to our job :)

All of the money we collect from this event will go directly to the Rescue Team Skagfirðingasveit.
